Brooke and Matt were married at the Ashokan Center in Olivebridge, NY. Their fall wedding at a camp in the Catskills was a perfect reflection of who they are - down to earth, caring, and fun loving.
These two live in the Pacific Northwest but being on opposite sides of the country was no hurdle for their wedding planning. And when it came down to building their timeline Brooke and I kept connected through the online planning tool I use. Easy peasy whether you’re in town or thousands of miles away. They chose my personal favorite way to handle a destination wedding - they picked a venue that has lodging and activities and invited all of their guests to camp out with them from Friday to Sunday. Three days of celebrations are way better than one!
This wedding had it all - farm animals, glamping, campfires, and dancing until the sun came up. From the wooden place cards hand made by the bride to the vibrant footwear worn by the groom, this wedding felt special and authentic from start to finish. And they even got to be the first couple to ever have their ceremony by the red barn on property. It is now my new favorite backdrop for Ashokan ceremonies.
I loved working with these two and had such a blast with them on their wedding day. Their personal style says so much about how cool these two are. I am so glad they picked me to coordinate their big day!
