Shannon Whitney Anson
Shannon is highly regarded as a top wedding planner in the Northeast with 10 years of wedding planning experience and more accolades and professional acknowledgments than can be listed here. Shannon established Wedding Planning Plus in 2007 and has had the privilege of planning and coordinating hundreds and hundreds of weddings and events all across New York and New England. She believes that being a wedding planner and coordinator is a special responsibility and she takes immense care in all of the events she works on. Shannon considers her couples to be an extension of her own family and she takes the time to get to know them, know what is unique and special about them, and then make sure to highlight that in their wedding details. She has been told by dozens and dozens of wedding professionals that she is not a typical wedding planner - something they say to her with a great deal of relief and appreciation. This is the one thing that sets Shannon apart from other planners - her philosophy is that she not on site to be the boss of anyone, but instead she knows she needs to be thinking ten steps ahead so that the vendors are able to do their best job and that the couple experiences an amazingly seamless day.
Shannon has a Bachelors degree from the State University of New York at Albany. She lives in Delmar with her husband and their two doggy babies, and when not working on weddings she is either training for her next marathon, mapping out her plans to see Phish on their next tour, or wandering through Vermont drinking all the craft beer she can get along the way.
Erin rossi - Lead planner
Erin Rossi brings years of wedding and event planning experience to Wedding Planning Plus as she started in this field as a catering and venue manager back in 2007. After attending Siena College, she held the position of Director of Catering and Events at Birch Hill Catering and later worked as the Director of Events at the prestigious Inn at Erlowest. Erin joined the Wedding Planning Plus team in 2012 where she continues on in her passion to assist couples in making their wedding the most memorable day of their lives. Erin’s enthusiasm, positive energy and warm personality make every couple feel comfortable and special. Her personal pledge to make every bride and groom’s wedding a dream come true becomes evident the moment you meet her.
Aissa terry - lead planner
Aissa Terry is a fast-paced planner who has mastered the skill of exceeding both her clients' and her vendors' needs at every event she is involved with. Having been an off-site catering coordinator for Mazzone Hospitality, she brings a wealth of experience in culinary arts, high-end banquet management, and full wedding and event coordination. Aissa's can-do attitude comes from growing up with a family-run small business, and she never shies away from a challenge or an opportunity to use her creativity in working through the small details of her events. Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Aissa was born to be a wedding planner and truly comes alive every moment she is working with her brides and grooms.
Erin mckee - lead planner
Erin McKee is a total sweetheart with a passion for creating beautiful weddings and events. Erin interned with the staff at Wedding Planning Plus during the 2012 wedding season and the following year began working with brides and grooms directly in the planning and coordination of their big days. Erin was born and raised in the Capital District and holds a Bachelors Degree in Communications and English. She has a positive personality that lights up a room and is ready and willing to go above and beyond to make all of her clients' dreams come true.
kate laferriere - junior planner
Kate joined the Wedding Planning Plus team is 2015 as an intern and spent the year shadowing and learning from Shannon and the rest of the WPP team. Kate impressed the group early on with her inquisitive nature and her close attention to details. In the fall of 2015 Kate was promoted to Junior Planner and spent the 2016 season coordinating weddings across the Capital District. Kate holds a Bachelors degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and Advertising and is currently pursuing her MBA at Saint Rose.
Tommie burch - junior planner
Tommie was also an intern in 2015, assisting the WPP planners in weddings all year in venues all over Upstate New York. Tommie has an outgoing personality and makes friends everywhere she goes. She has a great energy and immediately makes her couples feel comfortable and at ease. These traits suit her well as a wedding coordinator, and in the fall of 2015 Tommie was promoted to Junior Planner and started working with her own couples that following spring. Tommie is pursuing a degree in Music and is fluent in sign language.
erin pruess - Assistant planner
Erin was a WPP intern during the 2016 season and worked tirelessly to assist the team with all the pieces that come with onsite event coordination. She is incredibly thoughtful and caring and during her year as an intern she never backed down from any challenges she faced. At the end of that wedding season Erin accepted the position of WPP Assistant Planner and is now a permanent member of the team. Going forward Erin will be working with Shannon and the WPP Planners to flawlessly execute rehearsals, wedding days and other special events.
